Easter eggs
From The Nameless Mod
All in all there are sixteen easter eggs hidden throughout TNM, collecting them all will unlock the Radish Adventure. As the easter eggs are stored (encrypted) in the user.ini file the easter egg count persists throughout the installation of Deus Ex. If you start a new game, you will not have to find all the easter eggs again. Furthermore, if you choose to keep your savegames upon uninstalling TNM, your eggs will also be saved.
You can reset your easter eggs to 0 by replacing the eggs= count in your TNMUser.ini with 19734 (but you should probably record your existing number first).
It should be possible to collect every easter egg in the game in a single playthrough.
Locations
- 1. The basement of Phasmatis' Apartment -- break the boxes, then move the explosive barrel to the peach coloured wall and shoot it, you will find a hidden area and easter egg one. Entering this hidden shrine to Phasmatis also triggers the first of the Narcissus flags.
- 2. Downtown - on a ledge surrounded by barrels at the extreme eastern end of the map.
- 3. The Corporate District - in a garage near PDX. You must blow up the garage door to get in.
- 4. In the Slums - go through the area with the helicopter. Once you pass the second fence, turn left and grenade climb up the last cylindrical structure at the end or climb the similar structure nearby with a ladder on it while holding a crate, and walk acrossed the pipes to it. You'll find an easter egg at the top.
- 5. In Sol's Bar - break the mirrors on the dancefloor, it's behind one of them. Remember to use fists so you don't make anyone angry.
- 6. In the Partyzone - go to the room behind the bar, the one with all the liquor and wine on the shelves and a glitchy-looking crate. Smash the top of that crate and rejoice.
- 7. In PDX HQ - go to the mens bathroom near the holocom on the second floor, frob the toilet paper, the mirror will retract to reveal a hidden chamber with the egg.
- 8. In WorldCorp - enter the vent in the women's bathroom. In the room you reach at the end, go through the door, the easter egg is on the wooden walkway above the entrance.
- 9. In DXO Hideout - Find two valves in the room next to TheRenegadeMaster's Office. Turn both of them, then head upstairs and go left, you'll see the egg ahead.
- 10. In Goat City - after you enter, go into the short tunnel to the left. You'll find a small grate on the floor with a key hidden in it. Use this key on the locked wooden basement doors found near the temple. Inside there will be a small room with a few crates and easter egg #10.
- 11. In the Llama Temple - go into the rooms to the right. You'll eventually find a kitchen with a stove and a refrigerator. Destroy the fridge (from a distance! It's quite explosive) and behind it you will find the egg.
- 12. In the Sewer level accessible from WorldCorp Basement - Get through the laser fence, deal with 3 spiderbots. Look left and there's a vent, open the grate and enter, this area is toxic, so you may want to wear a Hazmat Suit or some sort of protection. Jump down from the first crawlway, then proceed to right. Climb the ladder and you'll find the egg at the end of another catwalk.
- 13. In the DXI caves - in the area with the sign saying "Warning: BSP Holes" walk in between the middle and right holes and jump on the pillar of rock to get across to the area blocked by the leftmost hole. Now jump on the other platforms until Beeblequix sends you a random one-liner. The egg should be in the corner on your left, on top of a crate.
- 14. In the DXE basement - near server room 4 and the "sheep" objective room, go downstairs to the area with the small bot and lots of yellow power generator boxes. As you enter, detonate an explosive near the first yellow box on your right and it will blow open revealing the egg.
- 15. Outside ABI - in the canyons near the wall that can be broken to get from the ABI entrance tunnel to the canyons or vice versa, under a bump in the snow that must first be destroyed.
- 16. On the second floor of the HTTP GameSpy - drop through the floor hatch leading to the Control Centre, veer to the right through a vent shaft into a circular room - blow up the wall to reveal the easter egg.
