Canister details

Combat Strength is one of the options from an Augmentation Canister, together with Microfibral Muscle. You can only get this canister at the start of the game, when Phasmatis offers it as a gift.

It takes up your Arms slot. The alternative is Microfibral Muscle.

Augmentation details

Every level increases the damage your melee weapons and fists do by 25% of base damage, rounded down.

Usage and strategy

Obviously, this makes your melee attacks more painful. It also increases the strength of the Baton, making it a little bit easier to knock out people from the front. Not much though.

It also makes it easier to destroy a variety of locked doors, cabinets, grates, etc. that don't have infinite strength. Your melee skill influences this as well. Sometimes you need just a little bit more damage before a door starts to break down, and combat strength may be able to offer this.
