The first manifestation of the mighty 00n came to us and showed us the truth. His name was Gerald, a goat of great wisdom, and he showed us the powers of Melk(TM).
Athena is the High Priestess of The Goat Cult.

The earliest record of Athena is the one stating she was one of the initiated. At some point after that she joined The Llama Cult and became influential enough that when she left enough Llamas followed her to allow her to start her own religion, the Goat Cult.
Dark Templar, one of the original ex-Llamas, became Athena's second in command. Later she added OiNutter, a former street preacher, to her ranks as a High Priest.
As the head of the Goat Cult Athena is the opposite and arch rival of Beefman, leader of the Llamas.
Role in Game
Though Athena is the ultimate leader of the cult, she does not directly dispense any of the missions in the Goat Cult quest line. If you finish the first Goat mission that Dark Templar gives you, you will be granted an audience with her during which she will explain some details of the next mission, and she'll gladly answer any question you might have about The Goat Cult.
If you work for the The Llama Cult, Beefman sends you to kill Athena after DXI. This can only be accomplished by first turning off each of the four valves on the pipes that run along the ceiling - otherwise, Athena will keep respawning in the melk fountain at the back of the room.
Locations
Athena will always be found in the inner sanctum of the Goat Templae(TM). If you're allied to the Goats, she will be in the main hall with the catwalk under the pyramid ceiling. If you're allied to the Llamas, she'll be waiting for you in the altar room.
